Overview of kingdom Bacteria

Cell type: Prokaryotic which means the cell does not have a nuclues or any other membrane bound organelles.

Body type:Very few are multi-celled but most of them are single-celled.

Nutrition: Bacteria is both Autotroph and Heteroph which means some get there energy from abiotic sources and others get there energy from other organisms.

Cell wall: The bacteria cell wall is made mostly of a chemical called Peptidoglycan (made of polypeptides bonded to modified sugars).

What is the difference between archeabacteria and bacteria?

Archeabacteria is a cell membrane that contains either linkages. its cell wall lacks peptidoglycan. Its genes and enzymes behave more like Eukaryotes. It also has three RNA polymerases like eukaryotes. Bacteria is a cell membrane that contains ester bonds. Its cell wall made of peptidoglycan. It has only one RNA polymerase. Bacteria reacts to antibiotics in a different way than archea do.
